The Arsenal

Everything The Paid Apps Sell You

Six pillars that make AabSara a genuine replacement — not a trial, not a demo, not a stripped tier.

01

Precision Capture

Frame-accurate 4K recording at up to 120 FPS with sub-millisecond timing — no dropped frames in fast gameplay.

02

GPU Encoding

Native NVENC, AMD AMF and Intel QuickSync pipelines keep CPU load near zero while the machine stays playable.

03

Depth & Layers

Stack a camera, a game window and a webcam on separate layers, each with its own crop, opacity and blend mode.

04

Light & Glow

Studio-grade look in one click: soft bloom, chromatic highlights and a light-linked vignette that reads as studio-lit.

05

Green Screen

Chroma-key the background in real time with edge refinement, spill suppression and preset light sources.

06

Stream Anywhere

Push one capture to YouTube, Twitch, Kick and RTMP targets at once — with built-in overlays and a dual audio mixer.

The Ledger

Same Features. One-Third The Price.

Line by line against the recorders everyone already pays for. The gold column is the one that costs nothing.

Frequently Asked

Is AabSara really free, or is it a trial?+
Genuinely free, forever, under the MIT License. There is no trial period, no feature gate and no account. The project is community-funded by people who want a recorder without a subscription.
How does it beat Action! and Bandicam?+
Those apps charge $37–$49 a year for a subset of what AabSara ships. AabSara adds green-screen compositing, multi-destination streaming and built-in stream overlays — features that only appear in the $299 Camtasia tier — and runs on Linux and macOS too.
Will recording hurt my game performance?+
No. Capture and encoding happen on the GPU through NVENC, AMD AMF or Intel QuickSync, so the CPU stays nearly idle and your frame rate barely moves. The Rust/Tauri core is designed around a low memory footprint.
Can I record games in 4K at 120 FPS?+
Yes. AabSara supports 4K at up to 120 frames per second with full hardware encoding. Your refresh rate, GPU encoder and disk speed are the real limits.
Is AabSara 100% open source?+
Yes. AabSara is released under the permissive MIT License. The full Rust Tauri backend, React + TypeScript frontend and build scripts are completely free, open, and transparent without any hidden telemetry or licensing restrictions.
